FSN - Iain Graham 1

Iain Graham

Chairperson, appointed 2022

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) , Master of Education, Master of Science, Bachelor of Science .

Iain is an Emeritus Professor at Southern Cross University, formerly Professor of Healthcare Development, Dean and Head of School for Health and Human Sciences, and Director of Clinical Services. He has held honorary positions with universities in the UK, USA and Australia. Iain’s extensive academic and clinical career has spanned the fields of mental health, primary care, and public health.

Iain retired from academic and clinical work in 2024. As Family Support Network’s Board Chairperson, Iain promotes the organisation’s fundamental role in achieving quality family health and welfare across the Lismore LGA. Iain utilises his strong leadership skills and capacity for strategic vision to advise and support the Family Support Network team to achieve its mission and vision.

FSN - Andrea Brooks 1

Andrea Brooks

Andrea trained as a nurse and midwife in Canberra and has held multiple clinical and education roles in the Northern Rivers since 1981, including work with Birth and Beyond in Nimbin, Family Planning (now Choices clinic) in Lismore and Kyogle, and Lismore Women’s Health Centre, over a dedicated period of 25 years. Andrea’s postgraduate studies focused on Women’s Health Nursing, and she has long cared about the health and welfare of families and children, with a strong interest in child development. Andrea acknowledges the privilege of contributing to the Board and is committed to supporting Family Support Network staff in what she recognises as vital work in our community.

FSN - Dale Campbell

Dale Campbell

Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics, Graduate Certificate of Training and Development, Certificate IV in Business (Governance), Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, Certified ESG Specialist


Dale joined the Board with a strong finance and systems consulting background, previously holding roles of Operations Manager for the School of Health and Human
Science at Southern Cross University and Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer with a not-for-profit organisation in the Northern Territory. Dale has also previously served as Treasurer of the NT Mental Health Coalition. Dale holds qualifications in economics, social science, accounting and governance and has skills across all aspects of organisational finance, budgeting and forecasting, assets and systems, as well as developing and measuring environmental, social and governance impact for businesses.

Cath Napier

Cath has been a member of the Board since 2019, including the role of FSN Chair from 2019 until 2022. Cath brings a wealth of professional experience from her extensive career as a social worker and educator in the community services and child protection sectors, both in Australia and internationally.

Cath’s commitment to child rights, her advocacy for the cessation of violence against children, plus her professional support and personal experience of parenting, underpin her contributions to the Family Support Network Board.

Dr. Airdre Grant

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Education, Diploma of Education, Bachelor of Arts  

Airdre is an experienced academic, writer, columnist, and educator with over 20 years’ experience in teaching and learning. Airdre worked in the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Southern Cross University (SCU) for 15 years and served across school boards, assessment
and accreditation committees, as well as the Reconciliation Action Program committee. Airdre has worked in the Learning Innovations team at Deakin University and is on the TEQSA Register of Experts. She currently serves on the Academic Board for the School of Business and Information Technology (SBIT) at Western Sydney University (WSU), as well as the Academic Review Committee for the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), which oversees accreditation and other
matters of professional standing. Airdrie is committed to fairness, equity and access in education and public service models. 

FSN - Kylie Burnett

Kylie Burnett

Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, Diploma of Children’s Services

Kylie is an accomplished children’s services practitioner with a career dedicated to working with children of all abilities and diverse families. In her role as Coordinator of Children’s Services and as a Family Day Care Educator, Kylie has worked extensively in
developing and implementing child-safe policies, procedures and protective measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children. Kylie is a skilled case worker who supported and empowered families  impacted by the February 2022 natural flood disaster, and has since provided crisis relief in other disasters across the state. With a child-centred approach to care, education and healthy development, Kylie is passionate about supporting families and caring for community, and believes it takes a village to grow children, and grow parents. 

FSN - Lisa Gava 1

Lisa Gava

Board Member, appointed 2025

Diploma in Teaching

Lisa comes to the Board with extensive leadership, supervision and management experience in community services, supporting children and young people in areas including Child Protection programs, Out-of-Home Care programs, and Aboriginal Services Programs. Lisa brings a wealth of experience across contemporary child protection practice principles, policies and translation of research to practice following her tenure at the Department of Communities and Justice. Her commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of children, young people and families is evidenced consistently across a career spanning 35 years in the sector, promoting best practice approaches in service delivery and care.
